About Us
Located in central Indiana, Skoog Kennels is dedicated to
preserving the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
We have been raising and training Chessies since 1992.
Our Chessies are working dogs, used in the field to hunt waterfowl and upland
game. In addition, our dogs participate in United Kennel Club (UKC) Hunt Tests.
Owner trained, Skadi, Freyja and Thor have excelled in Hunt Tests.
At Skoog Kennels, we recognize that proper
socialization is extremely important in the rearing of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. All our dogs are family dogs in addition to
working dogs. Good temperament and conformation to breed standard also are
characteristics in our dogs.
